Fishing Network Lands New Carriage Deals
WFN: World Fishing Network, the 24-hour fishing and outdoor lifestyle network, announced new carriage deals on two of the country’s largest cable systems.
WFN will be offered to Videotron subscribers in Montreal and the surrounding areas as part of the company’s Custom, Mega and Sports Packages or as an à la carte offering. Videotron and WFN have teamed up to offer a three-month free preview of the network beginning on September. 1.
WFN in High Definition will launch on Rogers cable systems the next day, September 2, 2010.
WFN HD will be available to Rogers Cable customers as part of Rogers Sports Theme Package or as an a la carte offering. WFN will continue to be offered in SD. Rogers Cable and WFN are offering customers a free 30-day trial of WFN HD from October 1-30.

Produced & Broadcast in 100% native HD, WFN will be a visual treat for our viewers,” said Mark Rubinstein, President & CEO of WFN. “Available since 2008 to millions of television households in the United States, we are thrilled that viewers in Canada can now experience WFN in HD.

Originally launched in December 2005, WFN and WFN HD are available in more than 20 million households through North American cable, satellite and telecommunications distributors.
